About me
I always act as a positive role model to my friends, family, teachers and community members. If I were to ask my friends what they think of me as a student, I am quite sure they would mention something that relates to possessing leadership roles. No matter if it’s working together for a school project or making tough decisions, I have always “paved a pathway” and acts as a leader to guide my surroundings the best I can. In addition, I also care and cherish the people around me; including, my families, friends, peers, teachers; presenting respect to them is a “must-do” on my list every time.
Another asset I consist is my willingness to help and serve others. For many years I have unselfishly given much of my time and expertise volunteering for many causes both at school and within my community. Besides playing a great part in my community, my academic achievements were not left behind. In high school, I had the good fortune to be selected by my high school as a representative of their newsletter editor. From being an editor for one year, I got the opportunity to read a variety of papers from different perspectives; thus, these different perspectives that each people has, have influenced and further enhanced my way of thinking after combing the ideas together.
Besides, when I edit the articles, I always ask myself “why” does this person express his ideas the way he did, deliberating and ponding over the paper after seconds would give me the answer. By making reflections on every article, really develops my critical thinking skills as well as my analytical skills. This process provides me with the path as for what I will do to make it better. Not limited to editing others’ articles, I have also been posting my work to the public to share my point of view. Some of the platforms that I have been advocating are Tri-Cities, CUE, Pocket, Quora.
